As the carat weight rises, rarity usually rises too, but two stones with the same weight can still differ considerably in price and appearance.

Colour

The standard colour scale runs from D to Z. D represents the most colourless end of the scale. The right grade should be judged together with the metal colour, the design and the way the stone looks in normal light.

Clarity

Clarity describes natural internal and external characteristics. No two diamonds have exactly the same pattern. Grades such as VS and SI refer to the size, number, position and visibility of those features. For an engagement ring, many buyers favour a stone whose inclusions are not visible to the unaided eye.

Read the specifications together

A responsible product presentation should state the relevant carat, colour and clarity information and explain any independent report. Cut quality, proportions and certification also affect the final judgement. Compare the complete specification rather than one number in isolation.

Carat, colour and clarity are three essential parts of diamond value, but they must be read together.

[1026

post-181663","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
